Importing EIPs
When collaborating with colleagues, packing RAW files as EIPs creates a need to locate and include additional files. It is important to enabling the Bestehende Anpassugen einbeziehen option in the Anpassugen panel when importing EIPs by using the Bilder importieren in a Session or Catalog. Otherwise, those adjustments will not be visible and you will have to re-import the files.
That is not the case when dragging and dropping a folder of EIP files into a Session. When you do that, Capture One automatically includes the existing adjustments when creating the previews. If the adjustments are not wanted, simply select Bild -> Nueu Variante from the main menu or use the shortcut F2/F7 (macOS/Windows).
- Open a Session or Catalog, and select Datei -> Bilder importieren or click on the Importieren icon in the main toolbar. The Bilder importieren dialog opens.
- From Importieren aus, select the folder of EIP image files to import and then choose the destination folder, naming, and other options as appropriate.
- In the Anpassungen panel, enable Bestehende Anpassugen einbeziehen with a check-mark.
- Click on Alle importieren to import EIPs (complete with adjustments).
To convert all Phase One digital files to EIP when importing or capturing:
- Choose Capture One -> Voreinstellungen on Mac or Bearbeiten -> Voreinstellungen on Windows.
- Open the Image tab.
- Checkmark Packe als EIP beim Import.
- Checkmark Packe als EIP der Aufnahme.
The image file is now integrated into the Enhanced Image Package. The .EIP is simply replacing the image files. The setting files will be removed from the relevant folders and will also be included in the package.
Exporting images as EIPs
- Select the intended images that will be shared as .EIP.
- In the main menu, choose Datei -> Bilder exportieren -> Originale.
- Add any folder and file name information using the Speicherort and Benennung tools where necessary, and checkmark Als EIP packen under the Optionen palette. Click on Original exportieren. The files are now automatically packed and the extensions will be renamed to .EIP.
NOTE: JPEG and TIFF files cannot be packed as EIP.
