Capture One still has same problem
I am sure that members of this forum have read my posts in the past about the slow loading of files on startup but nothing has been done, so I embarked on making sure I was not imagining my problem so I went back from C1 23 to C1 21, completely rebuilt my main catalogue and then tested it and compared the results with those from C1 23, it was a complete eye opener and I will not bore you with the details twice so I have included my support request below, I will definitely be looking for alternative software in the coming months and thanks to all members on this forum who have helped me in the past, best of luck in the future, if C1 has a future and I thought Adobe was bad.
My Support Request
(I have been using C1 since 2015 and have always been more than happy with it, back in 2021 I made a request for support because I had a problem with C1 22, it was taking ages to load my catalogues, since then i have also asked for support for the same thing even after purchasing C1 23. So i have now spent 131Euros on C1 22 and 125 Euros on C1 23. The bottom line of this statement is that I am now back to C1 21 v14.3.1.14 and everything is perfect, to give you an idea of how ludicrous this is, with C1 23 my main catalogue took 38 secs to load the images on start up whereas with C1 21 it takes 7.5 secs for the same catalogue. In conclusion, I will not be purchasing anymore versions of C1 unless there is a definite effort to look into this problem and I am not alone, there are many more people feeling the same way, I am sorry but I cannot fund a company that is only interested in money and the big boys.
