spot and dust removal
What problem do you see this solving?
Using the dust and spot removal on scanned slides is huge improvement. But on the exported files the spots are visible, see pictures attached. This can be seen on the raw files but less obvious.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
no
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
yes

Gunnar,
What file format as the original files?
What file format are the exported files?
Are you certain you are exporting the edited version of the image and not the Original file?
Are you viewing the exported file in C1 or another editor or a browser or file viewer?

Moving this to the Capture One 23 (16.x) for Windows topic as this is not a feature request.
And SFA has some valid questions! Consider answering them and if the issue persists, try reaching out to our support team if you won't find answers here.

I replied by email to SFA´s questions. Here is reply:
What file format as the original files?
- RAF (RAW) file taken by Fuji XT3
What file format are the exported files?
- Jpeg 2048px for web use
- Jpeg full size gives same result
Are you certain you are exporting the edited version of the image and not the Original file?
- Yes, the stamps after the dust removal are not part of the original image
Are you viewing the exported file in C1 or another editor or a browser or file viewer?
- On Facebook messenger and Explorer
Additional comment: in my previous Slides scanning work I used Healing Mask to take out dust and dirt and the result was fine, was not able to see the spots or stamp marks as can be seen after the Dust removal tool

Hi Gunnar,
As far as I know there is no option to email other forum users. In any event, I have not seen an email related to this topic or any other from the forum.
Did you send the mail to Capture One? If so someone there may have seen it. I am just another user of the software.
As I understand your process you have created a RAW file of the slide using a digital camera so you are dealing with a Fuji RAW file. Is that an accurate assessment?
In that case there should be no questions about possible file format influences from, for example, a traditional scanner.
Are the results delivered using the auto find and fix, a manual activity as was the case with the previous functionality, or some combination of the two approaches?
Have you had to apply some other edits to the file that might have influenced the results you see? If yes, were the edits applied directly to the Background or using one or more layers?
For example the smart blending used to remove the marks may work well viewed on-screen even when subsequent adjustments are made to the cloned area by other adjustments but there might be a glitch in performing the same corrections when using the export process. This would be unexpected and rare but not impossible in what can be a rather complex processing chain in some circumstances.
The same sort of thing might happen with scaling of some sort or the calculation of compression values for jpg, but since you have already indicated that the problems persist at both reduced size and full size that would seem to suggest it may not be a compression-related issue.
I suspect C1 would find it useful to work out what is causing what you are seeing.
My testing of the new auto dust elimination function suggested that it can be very useful and effective but it seemed to have some odd quirks that might be annoying in some circumstances. If you DID use the Auto selection it might be interesting to create a variant that uses a manual adjustment of the most obvious problems as well as another variant that uses a layer based fix for the most obvious problems. Then compare the results to see what, if anything, is different.
