Importer says no images in folder on sd card

I have a new camera (Sony a6700) and when I try to import images into C1 23 I am told there are no images in folder of SD card. The older photos on the same SD card in other folders are recognised and shown. I tried using JPG and RAW no difference. I tried using on another computer no difference. I bought a new card and formatted it and it still doesn't work. In each case the images are shown in Windows explorer. What can I do?
