Hi Yankov Wong, thanks for your suggestion.

Could you give us a bit more details about what you are trying to do? If I understand correctly you would like several different computers and accounts to be able to connect to the same "online session" and to synchronize the metadata to the original files if they are available on the different computers/accounts?

We would also like to understand more about how you work with your colleagues!

    Thank you for your message.

Normally I’ll shoot photo into our laptop. After we get back to our studio, we will upload all the photos to the NAS, which all our colleagues would be able to assess it. Let’s say one of these colleagues tried to share an album online and clients would rate and take the photo on this album, but then because we have been having different copies of this section and probably a few different computers using different accounts would be able to connect to this section either on the Nars, or on the original laptop. So, I would like to know if there is any known issue for sgituations like this and if there is anything that I should be aware of?

Unfortunately I cannot recommend working through a NAS or a cloud drive system - not that it will not work, but this isn't a workflow that we have investigated enough and built for. If it works it's more a coincidence than anything.

Multiple copies of the same session (the document) will be interpreted as different sessions and as such the software will not be able to synchronize the raw files, the metadata and the online work.
If you are using the same session (document), this could work, but NAS and cloud drives often "lock" some files and folders, even if for very short period of times, which can prevent our software from writing the changes needed to work properly.

At the moment Capture One is mostly a single-user single-device software. We are looking into ways to expand that, but this might take time as it will require a lot of changes to get there from the current situation. The first step will be single-user multi-device as you might have guessed from our releases of mobile versions. This first step will take time to be in a shape that we are happy with.

I believe this could be achieved by having the ability to Export a text file containing the Filenames and Metadata associated with them. Then Importing a text file to a session which would add the metadata to files of the same name.

I have a similar need for something like this. I would like to export Metadata for a group of selected photos to a text file that I will use to import to a web based site that I have, thereby applying the keywords to each associated image file.

I imagine this is a feature that would be quite simple to add to Capture One Pro. I can send a text file example of one I commonly use.
