    If white balance is your primary or only goal, why not just use a white balance card?  There are quite a few options available and they are reasonably priced, certainly much less than a Passport or SpyderCheckr

    Does C1 support color checkers?

    Yes, provided you understand that the way you do it is to use the Color Checker software to create an icc profile, which you then use in C1.  There are numerous youtube videos that show you how to do that.  Here are a couple of them:

    Note if you are doing this you should also calibrate your display.
