There is no Gaussian blur feature in Capture One. The nearest you can get is to reduce clarity and structure, but that doesn't really go very far. A significant amount of blur would require the use of a pixel editor such as Affinity Photo, or Photoshop.

Thank you Ian, No idea why Capture one just doesn't add a simple tool like that.. Much appreciated for the speedy response.

I think it's because it's considered more of a pixel editor feature. As I understand it, Lightroom also does not do this (without taking the image into Photoshop).

I also miss a blurring option in Capture One.

Lightroom had now a depth of field tool that works fantastically well.

+1 for blur addition. With all the layers already setup, it doesn't make a lot of sense not to be able to use them to add a bit of blur if needed.

Sean Paget - have you made a feature request for this if you want it?

Flavio Garcia Garcia - the LR tool may work well, but I have also seen quite a few images online where it has been over-used in that the background looks unnaturally blurred. It has to be subtle enough that the viewer can't tell that you have used the tool rather than used a slightly wider aperture than you did.

I am certain a feature request for this exists at https://captureone.ideas.aha.io
