Mac: Files exported from Capture One to iCloud become hidden in macOS Sonoma
ImplementedThis issue is currently under investigation. It is unclear for now if this is a macOS or a Capture One bug.
The workaround to avoid this issue is to export to a different location than iCloud and then move the exported files to iCloud with Finder.

What do you mean that the files are not hidden? Have you checked in Finder with hidden files set to be shown?
Assuming you have checked that, what do you mean by "cannot export ... just nothing"? Does Capture One show that any activity is going on when you export? Does it show activity but no exported files appear, or does it show no activity?
What format are you exporting in? What does your selected export recipe show? Where is it trying to export to?

Just export the files to a location that isn’t also going into iCloud. On my Mac everything on the desktop is uploaded to iCloud and this (for some unknown reason) hides the files.
If you export to another location eg an external drive, you will see your exports.
If you have exported to a desktop folder and can’t see the files, move the folder into the trash and then open the folder in the trash and you will see your exports
Hope that helps.
Annoying isn’t it !0 -
I ran into this problem today. I updated to C1 16.3.3.6 an Sonoma 14.2.1. It did not fix the issue.
The symptoms I am experiencing are even present on a new USB drive. It's not part of icloud sync. I tried another external drive and had the same results. No location on the local disk would result in files exported. Each time it writes a single file that is often 0KB in size, sometimes larger, but never a usable image. I had to record a video of it as very briefly it says "No images selected" yet the export progress bar shows up, shows files being processed, and then the export notification says "1 file exported".
I was finally able to export to a network drive, my SAN, and everything was actually written. This really killed my day as I spent hours trying every kind of suggestion here until I finally tried to export to a network location. At this point, I cannot export to any USB drive or the local disk, which means I can't go off network and process photos. It's really crazy to see such a major bug as I've never had any issues before and now the program is almost useless while I have jobs that need to be processed.

If you haven't already please open a support case and provide every detail you can including narrated screen recording if possible.

Same problem still, but I am not convinced it's an Apple issue. Other apps, like Affinity Designer have no issues exporting PNG, JPGs to a folder located in iCloud. However, if I do export to a folder outside iCloud with CaptureOne it doesn't make the file hidden, so for now that's a solution, but I hope CaptureOne investigates it more and provides a fix.

@... What version of Capture One are you using?

Hi Brian, It was 16.2.2.10 - I just noticed an update and am installing it.

That should fix it. Note, the new version will install as a new and separate program (Mac, not sure about Windows). Make sure you open the new version as any shortcuts, tray icons, etc, will reference the existing install.
