    Robert,

The potential risk is that a lot of duplicate posts would be created (and then need managing) if things are in different places.

There may be a case for moving completed and released request updates to a subfolder after a suitable period of availability.

Subcategories are great when the action of creating a request searches for related content that already exists in a well-managed self-help system. This particular Zendesk implementation may be close to that state. Only insiders could really know.

    The problem already exists.

Indeed, few people check for someone else posting the idea when they wish to present their baby!

But I suspect it would only get worse rather than better.

Well, if a title is not very meaningful, it may be too much to ask that everyone always reads all the posts before posting something themselves.

But I suspect it would only get worse rather than better.

Possible, but C1 could try. Back it always goes

But the success of a support system is to use both title (if it exists) and content to offer suggestions to user who have not even identified they are asking a question.

Google can be very good at that, for example, but is not always precise or even correct with its suggestions.

Most search engines have the same problems.

I would rather focus on filtering, as this would be connected with improved search.
