Allow JPG editing: Auto White balance, Purple Defringe, Lens Distortion Correction
What problem do you see this solving?
When working with tens of thousands of images DNG or any other raw format is not possible, so I work with JPGs, but these following tools are not available in Capture One for JPGs: Auto White balance, Purple Defringe, Lens Distortion Correction. Perhaps there are more, but these are the ones I wold be using.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Today I had to change white balance of 20k images, that I have sifted through using CaptureOne, so I jumped to ACR (bridge and adobe Camera raw) and I have had to do this on every single project I work on.
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
As mentioned above I use Bridge with adobe camera raw and Lightroom, mostly bridge case then I can keep the Capture One session template that I wish to keep in using.
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes.

I was a bit surprised that you cannot do these things with JPEGs in C1. Of course, I mostly edit RAW but sometimes the client gives you additional images which are already jpg and you need to match them.
So to not be able to (fake) remove a lens distortion or chromatic aberration is very unfortunate.

@SFA
I dont know how adobe does it, but I can testify that its possible both on lightroom and in adobe camera raw and it has been there since when I started using it, 10+ years ago.
I would be fine sticking to adobe camera raw for the editing actually works better for what I´m doing, just adding auto white balance, changing some geometry etc, then exporting, however Capture One seem to be more stable and faster when sifting through tens of thousands of images as well as exporting and moving between folders, which works also better in capture one.
For now I use boths programs as a work around, but its not perfect, so if Capture One would allow me to have more tools for JPGs, specifically the distortion, whish is the one I need most of the times, if would be great,
