Scratch that, for some reason it's working normally again...

Could be worthwhile to report this anyway, if you have logs or anything recorded.

    Actually, it's still happening

Some photos even in the main window don't update at all, if I crop it just removes most of the photo and I can't see anything but say, the face if I zoom in. Everything else surrounding it isn't rendered at all lol. The source file is OK, I exported these and they look right, and have the edits embedded.

Same thing has been happening to me. C120, Mac M3 Max, 48GB RAM, working off the internal SSD with over 50GB available space. It doesn't make sense to me.

    • It does happen consistently when working off an external HD (something I usually avoid, but...)
    • I've noticed sometimes it doesn't occur; doesn't seem to be dependent on much except maybe the size of the session.
    • After closing a session where this is happening, then re-opening it, it does rectify itself.

What version of MacOS are you running, and do the Capture One 20 release notes say it is supported?

Thanks Ian. In fact, I'm running C1 20 (13.1.4.15) and realize I need to update. I move carefully and slowly through hardware and software updates, and do consult my professional retailer when doing so, but this combo isn't officially supported. I had just sprung for a license for 20 before my previous computer (an older OS only compatible up to 20) had a relatively sudden death, and then jumped straight into the M3 max. Updating will help, I'm sure. I'm still careful about the process though, because work depends on it.

I've got to explore new versions now, and am open to feedback.

Capture One just issued 16.5 BETA (testing). That usually means an official 16.5 is eminent. If you prefer a perpetual license I would wait on upgrading until 16.5 officially releases and get that version. You can see on their YouTube channel some of the new features coming, and a lot of other features have been added since Capture One 20 was released.
