Long time listener, first time caller. So I had Capture One a few years ago. Only used on the laptop when tethering. MY QUESTION: If I buy the subscription and download to my desktop will I also be able to have a copy on my laptop to use during shoots in tether capture. MOBILE does not seem my solution as i do not use iPhones or Apple products. PC user only.

Yes, you get three activations which means you can have it installed on up to three of your devices simultaneously.

Technically you can have it installed on as many systems as you need. You can only activate it on up to three at a time. If you need to move to a 4th machine you need to deactivate one of the other three. I've had CO on as many as 5 machines. As long as only three are activated you are all good.

I will pitch in a side question: I remember that the limit was several months ago decreased to two activations for subscriptions, was that reverted?

My understanding is that it is three across the board now. Your licence will say.
