To supplement what @... has said, on a Mac the equivalent location is at

    /Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Recipesxxx

Are they lost or is the Export Recipes tool closed? Some times I see that the Export Recipes tool is just closed and needs opening.

Thanks for the speedy replies, John, Ian and Walter. I am on a Mac and my custom recipes are indeed in the Application Support folder. I don't why they didn't carry over with the update, but glad to be spared the effort of recreating them. I am much obliged to you.

In general yes recipes should carry forward when you upgrade.

I spoke too soon. The recipes in the specified folder were the newly installed ones. I had to go into Time Machine to find my custom recipes, but they are now restored. Don't know what went wrong with the last update, as my keywords appear to have been carried over, but not the recipes.

My export recipes were overwritten when I moved from Capture One 22 to Capture One Pro. I fortunately had them copied on a different drive.

Thank you Apple for Time Machine! I just lost all my recipes when I updated to Capture One 16.5.4.26.

I would expect to see several older folders with recipes in them here.

... and if they are missing from the most recent folder (Recipes165 in my case) you may be able to copy them from one of the older folders.

Thanks. Now I get what has happend. When I deleted older versions of the application, the AppCleaner app was automatically triggered to delete related stuff, which incuded those older folders you have, which I don’t have any longer bevause I just clicked OK on the popup from the AppCleaner app without realizing what i was. Now I that - Thanks!
