Why are we **paying** for mobile capture on top of our normal license?

    Hi Alexandra Genova

I believe you are talking about Capture Pilot, our mobile app made for collaboration on a local network? This app contains an in-app purchase to unlock camera controls, allowing you to pilot your camera from the mobile device.

If this is it, I can clarify some aspects hopefully:

    • This app is not part of our "All in One" bundle, which means if you want to use it and its camera controls you will indeed have to pay a separate (one time) charge
    • This app doesn't ask for any login information, and Capture One is not handling the purchases. This all goes through Apple. Your purchase should be linked to your icloud/appstore account, so it should be available in other devices using the same account. If this is not the case, I invite you to contact Apple's support team directly so they can help you with that.
    • Alternatively, we have another mobile app, that we consider our main one, called simply "Capture One" in the app store - in this one you can tether your camera and do some light editing. This app is included if you have purchased the "All in One" bundle, if not it is a separate fee.
