Regarding feature requests and camera/lens requests – new functionality and platform incoming!
In order to provide a bit more clarity and also an update on what's going on with the "Improve Capture One", "Improve Capture One mobile" and "Request camera support" - as you may have noticed that it is no longer possible to make a post in these topics. This is because we are in the process of migrating all of these requests into a dedicated user feedback portal, which is designed specifically for this purpose.
- The platform is called aha.io and you can read more about it on their website.
- There is no need to create a new account and you can simply log-in with your existing Capture One account credentials (SSO)
- Based on the above, we have therefore paused the ability to make new feature and camera requests during the period in which we are migrating the data from the forum, over to the aha.io platform
- There are some manual tasks that need to be completed in order to ensure the best experience for you guys, i.e. so that you are not arriving to the new portal with a bunch of duplicates and missing content
These changes will allow your ideas and feedback to be handled in the proper way, with duplicate detection, a dynamic voting system, automation features and plenty of other things that will allow us to quantify and also better qualify feature requests, with a far greater understanding and overview of what you are requesting from us.
Oh, and there will also be a dedicated category specifically for lenses, as that is something we have been missing over the years.
I have the utmost faith that this change will only greater enhance the link we have between us, and can only lead to better and even more collaboration when it comes to ideas and feedback. I'm sure you will agree once we get into the swing of things, even if it simply provides an improvement on making feature requests via the forum.
The noticeboard will be updated once the new platform is 100% ready to go – we are very nearly there, but we just want to ensure that we get off to the best start, with all features and functionality working as expected from Day 1 – so please bear with us :)
In the meantime, keep a private note of your feature and camera requests, and let them loose on us once the new portal is ready.
Thank you so much for your understanding and patience. We look forward to sharing what we've been working on and hearing what you have to say.
All the best,
Jack, Denis and the rest of the Capture One team

Sounds like a good idea.

Good idea. I did try logging in with my CaptureOne email and password but they were not recognized.
Perhaps let us know when this is working.0 -
The new platform will be ready this week. Eric Valk Thomas Kyhn @...
I really think you guys are going to like it. All the data is carried over, the search functionality actually works, you can merge ideas etc. etc. Not to mention greater admin tools that will allow us to properly categorize things and action them.1 -
That sounds good. Will the old (now inaccessible) feature request section be included too or otherwise made available?

Thomas Kyhn The data from that old topic was not transferrable, but many of the top requests from the old topic were already ported over to "Improve Capture One" - you'll find requests from many years ago.
Is there a specific request you're referring to?

Thanks. I wasn't thinking of any particular requests, just that it would sometimes be useful to be able to refer to older requests and some of the information they contain.
