Crashing every few minutes
Capture One is great in terms of design and functionality. Unfortunately not in quality. Capture One crashes for me literally every five minutes. Start the app, page through a few photos, crash. Stat again, send crash report. Rate a few photos, crash. Start again, send report. Work for a few minutes. Crop a photo, crash. Start again. Work for a bit, add a mask, crash. It doesn't seem to be any particular action that causes the crash other than updating the photo. It just randomly crashes when you do pretty much anything that changes what you see in the viewer.
I've filed maybe tens of the automated crash reports. I have to ask: What is this insulting lack of quality? Are you serious about selling and maintaining this software product? Are you getting and actioning the automated crash reports? Do you have enough variety of hardware to reproduce them? Because it looks like while you're adding fancy and frankly niche features you're ignoring the basics. We only have so much patience for software that wastes our time and just doesn't work before painfully looking for alternatives.

I have exactly the sam e problem since I havbe downoladed the latest version on windows. I have sent more thwen 10 reports and I have opened a support case and send in the file report. No reaction. This is a shame. I now test LR and DxO.I have not mind up my mind. The problem: I must cancel the printing of my calendar 2025 because I cannot proceed. What a shame

There are a couple of posts suggesting a possible fix with recent Windows installations. See this thread and the post today in it from Jeff Gottloeb.

Same problem here. I use an M3 Max and M1 Max as backup, tethering the Canon R5 and the GFX 100 ii. Day 1, Capture one on M3 crashed 3 times. Day 2, Capture one on M1 crashed 5 times. Was not shooting fast, probably 1 frame every 2-3 seconds

On macOS the issues I've seen causing crashes were corrupt styles / presets, or settings files in the user's Library > Application Support > Capture One folder.
Quit Capture One, rename that folder, restart Capture One and see if the problem persists. If it is fixed, quit Capture One and put individual folders from the renamed Capture One folder back until it crashes again. Once you know which folder is causing the issue, remove files one by one until crashing stops. The last one you remove that stops the crashing is the one that is corrupt.

I'll be honest, Ive literally changed almost every single setting in capture one.
Not to mention I never suffer crashes unless its during a tethered shoot.0
