Ad Hoc computer connection in Mac Sonoma

Hi there!

I used to use Pilot all the time for remote function of the camera, live view, and tethering with clients and would create an ad-hoc connection with my Mac which would allow me to use this without needing an internet connection or connection to a local network.  With Sonoma OS I'm not seeing the option to create a network anymore.  Is there a way to use Live in the same way without having to be connected to the internet or wired to router?
