I ran into the same issue.  Fortunately, it was a brand new laptop I was installing on so it was easy to do a factory reset and use the Beta 5 version. I hadn't yet upgraded the Davinci from the Beta 5 on my old laptop so I'm glad I didn't.  I see the official release for Resolve 19 is out but I'm feeling hesitant to install it now that I've gotten this new laptop working.

Yes - I saw that DaVinci Resolve 19 has been formally released - however, given that I use CaptureOne almost daily but I use Resolve maybe once or twice a month, I am loath to try it again for a while.

Whilst resetting my laptop and installing CaptureOne and Resolve does not take too long - maybe 45 minutes, getting everything else required on the Laptop takes considerably longer. It's not something that I want to do if I can avoid it.

On the plus point, at least I have the laptop. If this had happened on my desktop computer that is my primary workstation, it would have taken a *lot* longer to sort out.

After a little thought, and preparation, and not completely without some trepidation, I bit the bullet and installed the release version of DaVinchi Resolve 19.0.

Everything still appears to be working. CaptureOne 16.4.4 is still working fine.

Thanks for that.  I downloaded and installed the new version and both Capture One and Davinci Resolve open fine.  Glad it's been resolved, whatever the issue was that caused it.
