Orientation, Rotate, Crop, etc.

I've been asking about this for years now, but I would really like to see Orientation, Rotate, and Crop disassociated from each other completely.

The problem is that when I shoot straight down, for instance, the camera doesn't know which way is up, so I set Orientation to say, 270*.

Now let's say I want to Straighten the shot by a few degrees, cool, easy.

Now I want to shoot a new product and then want to reset the Rotate tool to 0*. If I manually type "0" in the box it's all good. If I click the reset arrow the whole shot resets, including the Crop back to whatever the camera thinks is up.

If I click the Rotate buttons whichever way, it corrects Orientation, except this time it doesn't include the crop and now everything is wrong in a new way.

I shoot products all day and this is very frustrating.
