Photos Change to Duplicates When Moving Between Folders in Capture One Pro
I am working with a MacBook Pro M1 with the latest update and Capture One Pro with the latest update and Fuji X-Pro3 and X-T3 cameras. After importing my images into a folder on an external hard drive (SanDisk Extreme 1TB) in Capture One, I edit those images and move them to another folder on the same external hard drive. All of this is done IN Capture One. After moving, the images in the new folder do not appear correctly. For example, if I move 36 images from one folder to another, Capture One shows 36 images as duplicates with the same file name, however, the EXIF data is correct and edits (brightness, color, style, crop, etc.) are retained. The correct images are gone and transformed into duplicates. If I try to reverse this process, move the images back from the latter folder to the former, one image moves and the other 35 stay in the new folder and show as missing on the hard drive. This is a major problem as I reformat my cards every time I put them back in the camera and have lost images that Capture One seems to alter and misplace when moving on the external hard drive in Capture One.

How have you moved them after processing?

I drag and drop from one folder to another in the Capture One Library menu.

That should work!

Correct. And it has worked for several years that I have been using Capture One. This problem just started a few weeks ago.
