C1 latest version and Canon 1ds mark III

I tried to connect my friend’s canon 1ds mark iii to capture one latest version: the camera is recognized by the software, but when I press the shutter button, on the camera display appears a “BUSY” message. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Do you have any Canon software installed? It could be competing with Capture One. Remove it. Also remove the card from the camera or make sure it is cleanly formatted and empty so the computer doesn't spend time trying to index the files on the card.

    No canon software on my mac. I’ll try to remove the card. Thank you
