IPTC Extensions - Upto Date Digital Asset Management in 2024
Hi, I just look what has improved around Digital Asset Management in the last years. I use Photo Mechanic (cullihg) and Lightroom / Peakto (for huge archives)
Just wondering still no IPTC Extensions like "Person Shown", "Additional Model Information", "Artwork" etc, no editable GPS information either like we got in Photo Mechanic and Adobe’s Software. Specially I wonder why there are no Model Infos, as Capture One aims for Fashion and Portrait shootings.
Dear Capture One team, can you please work on it.
P.S. I could't find the "Feature Request", or new post on "Improve Capture One Pro "page.

Click the panel I've highlighted here from the start page of the forum

... then follow the instructions in the first post you'll see there.

These fields are offered in the metadata tool. This covered people / personalties. It does not address artwork.

Capture One considers GPS data part of read-only EXIF that comes from the camera and disallows editing it. There are feature requests to enable GPS editing.

Ian Wilson – thanks, i got this before, but there's no "New Post" button…
Walter Rowe – this is there in C1 since years, never used it because no official IPTC standard. I was able to find it in Photo Mechanic, but I want proper IPTC Extensions which I can see in Photoshop or any other DAM software

You're right there is no New Post button - and that's deliberate!
You have to follow the instructions in the first post, as I said. Open that first post and you see this.

Follow the link in the first paragraph to go to the Aha.io site which is where feature requests are managed.
