I'm not sure why this should be the case. In my experience, it always stays on the last recipe I used, even when I create a new session.

Are you using more than one recipe at once? (Which you can do.) Are you using custom recipes that you have created? Are you on Mac or Windows, and what version of MacOS or of Windows, and what version of Capture One?

    Hi Ian,

I am using the latest Capture One 16.5.1 on a Windows 11 System.

I use custom recipes (only one at once), but it never stays on the last recipe. Every new session switch to the TIFF recipe, which is in fourth place. Why is this recipe always chosen by a new session?

Thomas, it's always been that way for me too ever since I started with C1 back at version 12.

Thomas Schneider - the only difference I can see in your set up is that you are on Windows and I am on Mac, but whether that affects it, I don't know.

Mister Tolley Yes, on C1 version 12 I had the same problem. Then I switched to the Nikon version 21. This version seems to behave as Ian Wilson describes. Version 16.5 again forgets the last recipe used.

    I have found the solution:

There were 2 recipes with the same name but different settings. I suppose this resulted from updates, some of which contained and installed new recipes. It was curious that the fifth recipe was always chosen, no matter which one was there.

After deleting the duplicate recipe, the behavior is as desired: the last selected recipe is selected in a new session.
