The Final Cut !
After five years of subscription, I've decided to adopt the current version 16.5.1 as my final version. With the loyalty program, C1 offers the option of a free perpetual license after five years. I no longer want to support this customer-unfriendly, arrogant pricing policy, especially since the updates per year are very minimal and the real changes (DAM, noise reduction) are left by the wayside. As a landscape, animal and action photographer, for me the features of the software are going in the wrong direction (Studio,Portrait) and I am no longer willing to pay €220 a year for the few rudimentary changes. I have already sent many emails about the quality and crashes of the software, requesting changes in support, but the overall package no longer suits my workflow. Now for perfect denoising I had to resort to DXO PureRaw 4 and the result is impressive. We all can agree that C1 has created one of the best RAW converter, but the overall package has a lot of weaknesses and on some updates it seems to hastily cobbled together. C1 - IMHO in a wide range of areas your development and marketing went the wrong way.
Interestingly, there was a Cyber Monday offer in Germany for €159 for a perpetual license. Buy a license every year on this day and you will have saved €61 over the year in opposite of a subscription. I hope that my current version will last for a long time and that Apple doesn't build any hurdles into the operating system that will cause C1 to crash.
Good luck C1

Hey !
same but as C1 is still far ahead as the whole others. I will just keep my perpetual licence until something nice happens.
Missing stuff for my workflow:
- finish HDR/Panorama with batches and HDR support
- correctly support OM1 14 bit RAWs and better support for high res shot
- fixes/improvements in live
- AI better for other stuffs than studio. For event, match look / mask AI is a bit off
Well, obviously, C1 has a marketing team and they choose to go for studio/portrait, probably a better market (?)
Cheers
