how do I prevent C1 from C1 overwriting file "date taken" when exporting images?

Whenever I edit a file in C1 and export it, It seems that C1 overwrites the original "date taken" value. I just edited a photo taken 08-15-2015 at 4.22pm in C1. When I export the edited file, the "date taken" value is set to now. I don't want it to update that value - I want to keep the original value. How can I do this?

    Are you including EXIF in the exported files?

    yes. Under Metadata on the Export window I have everything set except Annotations and Overlay. Is that not the right thing to do for what I want?

    That's the right setting. I would open a support case.
