C1 created a folder called Photography Files

Good Morning Community, I’m building a master catalog for each year. I have checked on import to leave images where they are. I also instruct C1 to make that catalog on my internal ssd drive, which it does. However, with each new catalog C1 created a separate Photography Files folder > inside a folder named C1 > and inside there a new dated folder containing images from the import. I have checked leave images where they are but it still made new a dated folder for each catalog…this is really eating into my drive space. My Catalog backups are on the same drive but a different folder name.

My question is can these be moved or deleted? Please see screen shot below
