Capture One/ Helicon Focus interface failure
Hi All, I messaged Capture One 4-days ago regarding the Capture One/ Helicon Focus plugin interface failure, but no one from C1 has replied and I've not received any confirmation of msg receipt.
I didn't anticipate having to wait so long for a business critical response! Does anyone know how to successfully the Capture One team, please?
Lastly, in the hope someone from C1 might read this I have copied below the query I sent to them.
Thanks,
Nigel Downes
COPY OF QUERY SENT:
Hi,
The Helicon Focus interface has stopped working.
Previously, after selecting imported images to focus stack in C1 I'd choose:
Images> Edit With> Stack with Helicon Focus.
Helicon would then open and import the selected images, showing each image in a column with a tick box (allowing deselection of any individual image, if required, before selecting: 'Render').
What happens now is that C1 imports only the first of the images within the selected stack, converts it to a TIFF and says that the request can't be stacked because only one image has been imported.
To ensure I'm using the latest software I've:
- Checked that I have the latest C1 update installed.
- Deleted and reinstalled the latest version of the Helicon Focus Plugin.
- Deleted and reinstalled the latest Adobe DNG App (which appears to be a mandatory requirement).
The only way I can now focus stack is by 'opening images' in Helicon Focus (NOT C1), and then importing the 'rendered' TIFF back into C1...which means that the Helicon Plugin within C1 does nothing.
Please advise as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Nigel

Have you opened a support case with Helicon?

Hi Walter, Thanks for your message.
Yes, I did that on Monday, but after my follow-up enquiry this morning it looks like someone from C1 is now looking into it.
Thanks

Oops, sorry, missed read your message.
Not yet with Helicon, as I assumed that C1 would be better placed to review it and also check whether other C1 users were having the same problem. However, will follow it up with Helicon if needed based on C1's findings.
