Files opening at 200% and copy/paste query...?
Windows 10 x64 (1908)
I use Sessions.
When I browse to a folder containing images and open it in film-strip mode and click on an image to fill the screen, it opens at 200% NOT Fit screen.
I click between images in Film Strip (to deselect say a number of images) and then choose another image to edit, it too opens at 200%. I cannot get an image to open at Fit Screen. I have to reduce it after opening it. Have I somehow changed a default setting?
Second issue..
If I create a layer and apply edits and then select two or more images to Copy/Paste these edits, I get the following message after pasting: "Layers won't be applied to xXXXXX. Layers can't be applied to the variant they were copied from."
1. I can't ever recall seeing this message before.
2. XXXXX is the original, edited image. The implication seems to be that layers won't be applied to it. But, after Paste, they remain in place.
Anyone else having any of these issues?
Thanks.

Are you seeing 200% as the default opening value in the Viewer zoom slider?
Are you using Proof Profiling?
How is the active output profile defined?
What selections do you have set in the settings or ?
View (Menu) > Customize Viewer
For the second question ...
With the V20 changes to the way Layers are applied when copied (I.e. added to any existing layers rather then replacing existing layers) it would not make sense to duplicate the layers on the "Copy From" image if one has that selected as well as the images that are to have the adjustment added to them.
The message seems to be reminding people that they should not expect to see any layers added to the image that is providing the contents of the Clipboard.
Basically exactly what the message says.
HTH.
