Is the capture one catalog cross-platform?
I use both Mac and Windows. Currently I run Capture One only on my Mac, but for various reasons I'd like to be able to run it on Windows too. My question is whether the catalog can be shared by either platform? In other words, if I store my photos (and the capture one catalog) on Dropbox, would I be able to edit the photos on either Mac or Windows? Is the catalog identical on Mac and Windows installations? Obviously I wouldn't be able to use both platforms simultaneously for obvious reasons, but I'm wondering if it's feasible to share a catalog. I don't want to buy a Windows license if it's not possible, otherwise I'd run some tests myself. Thanks!

I don't know about cross-platform but I think you could actually use it simultaneously and don't need to buy another license. You get three activation for each Pro license. It shouldn't be restricted by OS so you can try second activation for the Windows PC.
Click Capture One (version #) -> License0 -
I heard back from someone in support. They tell me the catalog it indeed cross platform. That's great news. If anyone has done this I'd be interested in hearing how it went.
@Wesley: Thanks for the info. Didn't know that.0 -
I use sessions cross platform. Shoot to the macbook and do post processing on a Windows 10 desktop. Sometimes the session will go back to the macbook again if I am post processing away from my studio. No problems transferring between platforms here.
I can not vouch for Capture One catalogs or dropbox use though as I do not use those. I use an HFS+/ExFAT partitioned HD for transferring.0 -
Catalog is not cross-platform if images are not stored inside catalog.
But its not a big problem - if you save images in a structure as example "/Volumes/MyImages/Images/...." and the same folder structure is under Windows "D:\Images\...." than you can switch entries in the database before you change platform0
