Pairing jpg with edited nef
I use PhotoMechanic as my basic image viewer and as PhotoMechanic can't display CP edited files in its edited form (I'm on Mac and uses Nikon) I create a jpg of the edited nef and place it in the same directory as the nef. PhotoMechanic then pairs these images and display the jpg version "over" the nef so that I can see what the edits looks like (albeit in jpg-format). Now and then I make changes to the edited nef and then output a new jpg but the new jpg gets a trailing number (1, 2, etc) so PhotoMechanic doesn't pair the latest jpg with the nef. Is there a way to have the new jpg overwrite the old jpg so that the last edit is what I see in the paired image? I could of course rename the jpg after output and remove the trailing number but that's a hazzle and introduces yet a new step in my workflow (I previously used Capture NX2 as my raw converter and PM displayed edited net's without the need of creating a separate jpg. NX2 is being phased out so I have to find a new raw converter).

Hi Hans,
Overwriting an output file is not in Capture One's vocabulary. In short, it is a no.0
