Batch renaming with tokens+original filename
I am a recent convert from LR but I'm struggling with the batch file renaming process.
I am used to rename files according to a simple rule, which is to prefix "GM-YYYY-MM-XXXX-" to the original filename, where GM are my initials, YYYY is year, MM is month (of course!), XXXX is a sequential number by month (I don't shoot 10k frames per month!). Keeping the original camera filename is essential to reconcile with backups.
Now, the "Original Filename" token in the batch rename command in CO12(Mac) returns an empty string instead of being populated automatically as Lightroom does. I checked and there is an "Original Filename" field in the metadata panel which is indeed empty prior to renaming and is included in the "ITPC-Getty Images" section.
Can anybody help me figure out how to solve the issue. Thanks!

The original file name is the [Image Name] token (until you rename the image) so you can include that in the rename.
So you'd have GM-[Image Year]-[Image Month]-[4 digit counter]-[Image Name]
