multiple shooters - multiple cameras - time sync
Hi
New user who spend about two days looking for answer but with no success... Looking for detailed help.
I am a wedding photographer. On a job a might have 2-3 shooters using multiple cameras each. They are never in "sync" when it comes to "capture time" however the images have to be delivered to client in chronological order. (please note not all cameras can be synced to the second by manufacturer)
My question is, how do I change the "capture date&time" in Capture One 10 on a photo and how do I apply the change to "all relevant images" so I can then organise them by "date&time" in chronological order and then export them.
Example: I shot the "first kiss" at 08:08:08AM (time in camera) but second shooter shot the exact same moment at 08:09:17AM (time in camera). now I need to change my second shooters time to 08:08:08AM. But I also need "all of his images to adjust the time accordingly so all other situations are synced with mine.
Hope I make sense as to what I'm asking for.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as this is the only thing stopping me to move to Capture One.

Use each camera to take a picture of a reference clock, the networked one in your smartphone runs pretty accurately, and you should be able to se hours, minutes and seconds. Compare the time of the clock shown in the picture with the capture time, and calculate how much that camera is off from the reference clock.This is how much capture time needs to be adjusted in images from that camera. Repeat for every camera. Even if some other photog shows up late, or even days later, and want you to include images from her camera, you can repeat the procedure for that camera as well.
There are multiple tools available to adjust for capture time offset, some even available for no money.NNN636272417125494395 wrote:

Wow. I have yet to find an application that does everything I need the way I want/need it to be. What a loss; count out one of the top raw converters because it is not also the greatest tool for metadata?0 -
Thank you NighHawk. Yes aware of the other options...
@Odds C1 or any other software is a work tool for me. Doing 100+ wedding a year at 5,000 images per wedding will become more about workflow management rather then superiority in RAW conversion. The reason I considered C1 was purely for sharpening options on Fuji x cameras. In my opinion it is better then other software out there however that's about it.
I was just hoping I can combine great raw conversion with suitable workflow.0 -

I have to use EXIFTool or iMatch for now...
