Active Keyboard Shotcut
In Lightroom, I would press command when in crop mode and the level/straighten tool would become active. I would then straighten, take my finger off the command button and the tool would no longer be active.
I have established in C1 you hit the R key to activate the straighten tool but there is no way to deactivate it unless I hit V to finish the crop. I often need to re crop after straightening and it is a real pain still having the straighten tool active.
Is there anyway I make the shortcut only active when I have my finger on the button?
Thanks

R can cycle through different rotation modes. (As can V cycle through different activity modes ....)
C would take you back to the Crop tool as the active tool.
Crop also offers rotation features and it may be these are what you are experiencing?
If you go back to C the cursor will change to indicate what action is available. It is context sensitive depending on where the cursor is positioned related to the edges and corners of the crop. There is also a facility to initiate a new crop rather than edit a previous one.
In C1, in general (there are 2 or 3 exceptions Keystone correction being one of them if that might be of interest to you) there is not function to submit the edit. Mostly they are undertaken in real time and simply selecting another tool will re-activate whatever you were using.

It is!
But the mental adjustment and "muscle memory" activities can take a while to fully bed in.
It's worse going the other way though. I am so used to not having to commit changes I forget that other applications (of all sorts) often require commits.
