Opening Session opens wrong photos
I have been using Sessions for several years. Up until recently I could open any of my old sessions and see the photos I expected to see. Just lately, Capture one continues to do its usual good job when I create a session. However, when I open any of my recent sessions, the photos that load are from my latest session, sometimes with the correct ones also present! I've been trying to work out what I'm doing wrong. Verifying the sessions just produces an OK verdict, but continues to open the incorrect photos. Any ideas? I have the latest version of Capture One, and my Macs run Catalina.

Are the folders from the old session somehow added as favourites in the new session?

I have nearly the same problem but in reverse. The session I shot today, when opened, is full of photos from two weeks ago. The header on the window reads the name of today's shoot but the photos are all from two weeks ago.
In today's shoot's folder are all the correct files, likewise for the two week old shoot. Everything is there and in its correct place. But C1 opens the wrong session. Always the same wrong session. I can't access today's images except in preview or PS, but not in C1.
Using C1 12 Mojave.

Did you create the new session from nothing or from a session Template?
Is the session related to a tethered shoot or downloading from a card or cards?
