Automatic image adjustments reset
Greetings,
Along with the 8.3 update came a new problem in my workflow. (Macintosh) Every image is automatically adjusted from the original once I click on it in the Browser. The colour preference is set to Absolute Colormetric, so I shouldn't see any shift, although I do. The shift seriously lightens the shadows
There must be a setting that is eluding me.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Have you selected Absolute Colorimetric because of this issue or for another reason? I try to understand why you have selected this setting and how it is related to the issue you have.
The Color Management setting is rarely changed from the default (Perceptual).0 -

Proof Profile?
Or, more likely I think if I correctly understood your description, the possibility of a different ICC profile set in the currently selected Output Recipe. That would be the one that is Highlighted in the list NOT the one(s) that ticked to be active - although of course the same recipe may have both attributes!
If the Proof Profile is set to use the Recipe setting then you are automatically seeing the proof appearance displayed. Typically, in my experience, printer profiles are quite likely to appear to 'lighten' the dark areas on the basis that a print will have less dynamic range available than the screen can display - but there may be other reasons too and print output is not the only Profile option.
HTH.
