Renaming Variants
I often create a New Variant and process it differently. I'd like to rename it so I know the different process but it renames the original.
Is there a way to rename a variant without effecting the original and any other variants?

Hi,
All variants of a single image file have the same name. That is part of the concept. The name refers to the physical file on your disk.
Each thumbnail you see is a variant. You normally start with one variant for your image file. Next, you can create a new variant (without earlier adjustments) or clone it (with earlier adjustments included). Further, there are no differences.

Now about renaming on processing. With CO8 you have a huge array of possibilities for renaming on output. Either in the process recipe or the Output Naming tool on the Output tool tab. The magic comes from the use of tokens.
