Keywording and multiple images

That's pretty much the intended behaviour. It only alters the data of currently active image (the one with the thick frame in your thumbnail view). Once you finished entering the keywords copy them to the other selected images by holding the shift key (if memory serves right... no CO here to check 😉) and click the copy settings icon (double arrow) from the keyword tooltab header to copy&apply immediately or simply click the icon alone and choose from the opening dialog.

This behaviour is acceptable for situations where metadata item has one value. For multivalued items like keywords is only partially usable. Keyword copy take all keywords from one image and paste replace keywords in target image. But mostly I need to add/remove only one keyword from multiple images with keep other currently assigned keywords untouched.

For removing one keyword from multiple selected images at once I found no way.
Adding one keyword to multiple selected images is possible. Open filter tool, drag selected images and drop them at desired keyword in filter tool (if filter tool has no desired entry in keywords you need manually add keyword to one image to show in filter tool).

    Thanks Berny, Eugen,

The online help states that you should be able to select images (plural) and apply keywords.

I think that keywording is broken.
    I've submitted a case.

The only way I have learned to work with it is to apply keywords in a hierarchical way...

If I have all images with country/ISO/me, I copy that first.
Then, I go do cities (same country so no worries copying)
    Then locations within the city
    Then more specific things last...

Yeah, the items to copy each time can be deselected. I could paste 'cathedral' across different cities or countries but I find i make mistakes and fail to deselect something.. often. It is simpler for me to paste a specific like 'cathedral' across items where all else remains the same and then move on to the next city with cathedral...

So, I just try to be more careful with the order I add them...

Ouch. This sounds me like workaround for missing C1 feature. 😉
