Session/folder renaming

Hello,

I am a new Capture one 9 user on Mac. Is it possible to rename a session folder within the program? I often like to update my final folder name with the number of files the folder contains. But with the way C1 is designed, when I rename a session/capture folder through finder, the session info is lost (correct me if I'm wrong).

I hope to rename a folder (or subfolder) and open the session in the future with the session data remaining.

If I can't rename the session, can I rename the capture folder? Or some type of subfolder? Is there a token that can be applied, to put the number of files at the end of my folder name in finder? Could that be either the "Sequence Total" or "Sequence Count" tokens?

I am trying to avoid an output recipe, because I don't want to create Tiffs, JPG's etc. I would just like to keep the RAWS. I am open to moving them, but never duplicating them.

You can rename a session folder if you like. So for instance you might have a session called Holiday. Typically C1 would have created a folder called Holiday and session file called Holiday.cosesssiondb. You can rename the Holiday folder, say to Holiday 2016 in the usual way, in your OS. C1 won't know where the session is on its recent sessions list until you have opened the session - so after renaming the folder just double click the Holiday.cosessiondb file to open it. (You'll only have to do that once, and C1 will remember next time.) Optionally, you can rename the session file as well to use the same naming as the folder it is in, but that is not essential.
