RAW imports appear as B&W when shooting B&W JPG
Hi:
I'm new to Capture One, so this may be a basic question, but I noticed that when shooting in B&W JPG, the RAW version appears as B&W in the side viewer. I can only see them in color if I change the curve from auto to one of the color curves and it's tedious to do that for every shot. Is there a setting that will do that automatically and allow me to see the color RAW files in the side viewer?
Thanks,
Robert

Are you working with a Fuji camera? Capture One will apply as "Auto"the film simulation you used in camera. If you want to avoid it you could pick an image from the camera in question, select Film Standard instead of Auto in the base characteristics tool, then click on the ... in that tool and choose Save as Default for [your camera]. It will only apply to new imports, not existing ones.

Alternatively shoot in colour and then change to B&W in post processing. 0 -
Ian3 and SFA: Thanks for your suggestions; I'll give them a shot. I'm enjoying my Fujifilm X-T30 and how well it's integrated into Capture One but I clearly need to spend more time learning the ropes!

Ian3: Your suggestion was just the solution I was looking for. Thanks again!
