Cursor as black hand remains forever

Sometimes suddenly the cursor on the adjusted photo remains permanently as a black hand. I may try to select whatever else (mask or whatever tool) and only the hand remains and nothing works. The only way to let everything work again is to restart C1. Is it a kind of bug ??

  It may be.
  
  When switching to another tool, do you do that via menu, the application tool (side) bar, or via the keyboard shortcuts?
  
  In any case, a support case will be the surest way to finding a resolution.
