Capture one 20 Win completely broken

I have upgraded to version 20 windows 10 and the program is completely broken, I have reinstalled and finally reinstalled on fresh windows and all I get is artifacts

I am sorry but I have no idea how to get an image up on this forum but I really need help

  Hard to know what the problem is without seeing the screenshot.
  
  You can post an image by putting it online somewhere (Flickr, Dropbox, etc) and putting the URL for it between IMG tags (generated by using the Img button in the toolbar of the post editing window.

  As you mention artefacts - try setting the preferences for "Use Hardware Acceleration" to "None" - probably for both options - and then see what happens.
  
  If that works .. then you are into investigating operating system versions/gpu card drivers and things like that. But hopefully C1 will function and allow you to do what you needs to do without inconvenience while investigating.
