    1. I think I am just gonna set up 3 folders, Capture, Select, and Trash does that sound okay?

    2. I forgot how to make a folder that would automatically move selects into the Select folder wether we color tag or star tag them. Can someone walk me through it?

    3. Is there a place I could find preset Color Profile to upload in my version of CO? Not sure that is even an option I can always do the adjustment by hand and say copy from last. Also is there a way to get the primary adjustment I use like Curves, Color adjustment, Hue, Highlight and Shadow into the the toolbar if I have to edit fast while they watch?

    Hi Ian,

Some tips to you help you get the best experience.

A1. I suggest you work with sessions, not catalogs, because you want to work with folders. The folders you mention are in the session automatically, plus the Output folder. If you do not need the session Output folder, leave it and neglect it. Do not remove it.

A2. What you need is a Smart Album. You can find help online here:
    http://help.phaseone.com/en/CO7/Organiz ... lbums.aspx

Extra tip for A1 and A2: create a template session. That is a regular session, with the smart albums you like, capture name, selected process recipe, additional folders or whatever you create each session. Save it, do not use it for shoots, and duplicate and rename the session folder as often as you like. Now you are the smart DT!

A3. Custom made profiles are stored in the <user name>/Library/ColorSync/Profiles folder (on Mac). In the toolbar you'll find the cursor tools you need for fast editing like color picker. In addition, collect your favorite tools on a single custom tool tab or make them floating. Next, save it as a workspace. If you need to work on another workstation, copy your workspace from the <user name>/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Workspaces

    Paul,

    Thanks for the reply.

If I create the 4 Smartfolders and do not use them in CO how will I use the copy versions? Would I be using these plugged into the machine remotely and if said machine is using CO it will recognize the rules I attach to each folder?

I think you must not confuse Smart Albums with smart folders. Smart Albums are part of a session. When you copy a session, the smart albums will be found in the new session as well.

I suggest you put this into practice with some images. Note that a session has a Five Stars smart album by default. Rate some images with 5 stars and review the result.
