Any advice for photographing urban exploration?
Hi all,
So I live in an area with a lot of great old abandoned factories and such. I've been exploring them for a long time now but recently got into photography and want to take the best pictures I can. I know urban exploration is super mega cliche, etc, but it's still fun for my friend and I.
Does anyone have any good advice for this type of photography?
I'd also take any advice on more practical matters of it!

Well, metaphorically, I would say do fall in the pit ... as in, just try a range of shots (different lenses for a range of compositions, different apertures/exposures for moods etc), then see what you get/like and go again. That is the way I like to explore something new without any pressure of having to deliver to any clients etc. Just have fun. 0 -
Urban landscapes is my favorite shooting environment. You have nothing to apologize for.
Learn the basics of photography to avoid botching those prize compositions and moments. Depth of field, hyperfocal distance, tripod, flash, etc. are essentials.
And test your lenses for their performance capabilities (sweet spot apertures, distortion/aberration issues, infinity performance, etc.)
Yeah, it gets deep but once you've done some homework you are gonna love going out for a full afternoon and come home with a few deluxe images to share.
