C1 20 Pro no longer reading my CF card
I have 4 images on my CF card (confirmed on back of camera) and “Open importer when detecting card from digital camera†is selected
I inserted CF card into the reader (I used two different readers to make sure that the reader was not the problem)
1. Importer opened and I received the following error message, “No unique images in folder. Found 0 duplicate imagesâ€
2. When I manually selected the importer and chose “EOS Digitalâ€, I received the same error message
3. I reshot the images with a different CF card, got the same result
4. To further isolate the problem, I shot the scene with a different camera and a third CF card, got the same result.
Importing worked perfectly with previous versions of C1 (10,11,12).

Are you sure you are on a version of Capture One that can use Canon files? (For instance, are you on a Fuji only version?) You can check on the About item on the Capture One menu.

About Capture One shows that I am using Capture One 20 Pro; Build 13.0.0.186 0 -
In the Import Images window, in the Import From section, there is an option Exclude Duplicates. If you have this enabled, please try with this option disabled. 0 -
Paul,
"Exclude Duplicates" is not selected. Still no joy.0 -

I hope to test and try this coming weekend with a CF card from my Canon.0 -
This morning when I first tried it nothing worked, the same as yesterday. Later in the morning I tried again and I must have finally excised the evil spirit that is inhabiting my Mac because C1 20 began to Import Images again. 😄
I hate trying to get to the bottom of intermittent problems.0 -
I have not noticed this before, but version 20 will not copy Canon raw protected images, at least not from images recorded on the card in my D5 Mark III. In Finder, Get Info shows un-copied image to be locked. Unchecking the lock option allows it to be copied. Unlike your situation, I can see the protected image in the Import dialog, but I get a message that the image could not be imported when attempting to import.
If the CF card or card reader is not seated properly, you will get a No Images In Folder message, but that is a bit different than you got and you were able to manually choose the EOS Digital card.
If you ever do figure out what caused the error, let us know.

I just noticed something else. When the demon was inhabiting my iMac, I noticed that when I clicked on back-up enable I received an error message the said something to the effect that I did not have permission to select backup. Now that the Ghost of Christmas past has left my computer I am able to click on Back-up and I no longer get the error message. This is exponentially getter weirder. 0 -

Keep them coming, your reports. I love a good story. In particular this time of year. 😄0
