Switch between Viewer and Browser
Is there a way to toggle between a full screen Viewer and full screen Browser with a mouse click or double click?
I'd like to have the Browser with all thumbnails, double click on an image that brings up the Viewer and the Browser disappears. With another click (or double click), I'd like the Browser to come back and hide the Viewer. Is this possible?

You can get from the browser to a view of a single image by double clicking it. You can't double click to go back, because double-clicking on an image in the viewer does something else (zooming to 100%).
In viewer mode, you don't have to see the browser or the tools if you don't want to. On a Mac Cmd-T toggles the tools on and off and Cmd-B toggles the browser on and off. I'm not sure abut Windows but Ctrl-T and Ctrl-B seems likely. If you have toggled the browser off, it will stay like that every time you go to the viewer unless you toggle it on again. (That is, you don't have to do Cmd-B every time.)
There is a keyboard shortcut to toggle between Browser view and Viewer mode. On a Mac the default is Alt-Cmd-V. Using that can become habitual and then it's very quick and easy to use.
Hope that is some help.

Very helpful Ian, thanks! 0 -
I recommed to change the default keyboard shortcuts for often used commands like this to some single key stroke. I have for example put the HIDE/SHOW VIEWER on the "G" key, without any modifier (G for "Grid", because thats what the thumbnail overview reminds me of). 0
