Most efficient way to send web contact sheet for ratings
Hi all
I'm looking for what is considered the most efficient way to send images to a client, have them rate or choose their selects and then send them back to you for you to process further.
I have looked at capture one remote pilot but I think this would be tedious to do for each session.
In my ideal workflow they would receive a web contact sheet that enables them to rate/tag and that would generate a capture one sidecar folder (or something) that I could then load and my session would automatically update with the client selects.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can make a web contact sheet with Capture One though there are no options for rating and nothing that will sync with your session, not that I am aware of anyhow. The client select process can be a real cumbersome pain and is something I'd love to see improved so there was a syncing function with the session.
The most streamlined approach I've come up with is this: send the client a folder full of proof images and they can either send me back a list of names or drag their selects to a new folder and send me back the folder. If they drag the images in to a folder I will (on a mac) select all & copy all of the images in the folder (cmd+A > cmd+C) then open textedit and Paste & Match Style (shift+opt+cmd+V). This will paste the list of file names, copy the filename list I just made (or that the client sent me). Then in Capture One select the 'All Images' session folder, go to Edit > Select By > Filename List... and paste in my file name list. This will highlight all the selects and I can then mark them as client selects.
When possible I'll use Lightroom for this process now since they've introduced web galleries which clients can rate and comment on images which do sync with the catalog, and I can transfer high resolution files this way as well. I wouldn't expect Phase One to introduce web galleries anytime soon, but a contact sheet that can be passed back and forth with the client that will sync with the session sure would be nice.0
