Sunlight Analysis & Other Recommend App for Landscapers

Hello there,

Amature landscape photographer here. I am wondering if you guys has any Android application or websites that you guys found useful for Landscape photography analysis.

I recently came across a paid app called The Photographer’s Ephemeris (TPE) for Android, which can give:
- Time and direction of sunrise and sunset
- Time and direction of moonrise and moonset
- Phase of the moon and % illumination
- Times of civil, nautical and astronomical twilight

For me, directional and time for sun would help me formulate the structure of the pictures (or location I should be standing for best shots)

  The Photographer’s Ephemer is is the one I use. I have to admit that it has been a long time (several years) since I looked for something such as this. I have been using The Photographer’s Ephemeris as needed and been happy with it. I don't even know if there are viable alternatives or even something better. I'll watch this thread and see what else people are using.

  TPE is ok for that. If you are astronomy inclined (landscape with the Milky Way or a meteor shower in the background), Planit for Photographes may be a better option.
