Saving settings as style
If I want to save settings from a layer as a style, I am given the option in the drop down list, of which settings to save but why aren't the settings I've altered already ticked rather than me having to remember what I've done and selecct those?

That is a limitation in the design of layers. When using layers, Capture One is not able to see which adjustments were made. When layers were designed, this limitation was overlooked or not part of the feature set.
Capture One could redesign the layer structure (the code). Apart from the effort involved, it could induce a compatibility issue with the current design.
Those are my 2 cents, not Capture One's official statement. You could ask for a statement in a support case.

In addition to Paul's observation I suspect that saving a layer as a style is best considered to be saving all of the setting in that layer - that seems to be the most logical thing to do when using layer adjustments.

I guess I'll have to keep remembering which settings I've altered.
Thanks both for your comments.

It would be quite nice to have an option of a preference to simply save everything from the layer automatically or only the ticked major adjustment group(s).
