A Module to Combine Multiple Images in One
ImplementedHi guys,
I think there would be barely any need in using other software for photo editing if Capture One could combine multiple images in one.
I'm not talking about complex compositing but rather about simple operations like focus stacking, noise averaging, cleanup of unwanted foreground objects (people, birds, wires, vehicles) and imitation of graduated ND filters with exposure gain higher than the dynamic range of the camera allows in a single raw.
This could be a separate module that only has image layers with scale/rotate/translate per layer and masking, and that imports all the image adjustments from the main program on the fly.
Once you open this additional module, let's call it "Combiner" or "Merge", it allows you to stack different images or variants as layers, to which you can apply opacity, gradient masks, and brush masks.
If the images are changed in the main program, the Combiner reflects it in its image layers.
After the layer masks and opacity seem right, you can export the result using the same process recipes.
What do you think about such idea?

Hi Gregory,
Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.
I have forwarded your comments and suggestions to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.
Whilst we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board and hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.
