Check the Release Notes for File Restrictions.

In general these have been consistent for some time.

Do any of the problem images match the criteria for limitations?

    Hi,

Sorry, but I'm not a professional user of C1 and I don;t understand what you mean.

Photo 1: editable; 3072*2304 pixels; Color space sRGB IEC61966-2.1

Photo 2: not editable: 1780*1335 pixels; Color space: sRGB IEC61966-2.1

What other criteria do I have to look at?

    Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Pro C1 license or one of the Brand specific versions (Sony or Fuji)?

Is there a specific file type associated with those files that you cannot edit?

jpg, tiff or png for example.

It looks like you are OK for dimensions and colour space.

That said I'm really not sure what C1 would make of a low res file that has been upscaled by an intermediate process - or indeed any file that may have an intermediate process influencing its identity based on internal information as assessed by C1.

Can you use ACDSee for further editing rather than C1? It might quicker and easier for you.

    Hi,

Thanks for your comment. I bought the full version to be shure that every photo could be processed by C1. The very small files are JPG's.

And sure, I can use ACDSee to process these photo's but that software has other problems: it claims that it uses a "non-destructive" develop but after (only) a crop the filesize is reduced by 50%. Weird but I'll ask the ACDsee guys,

Crop and output or save as a new file? Or does ACDSee show the estimated fiel size for the cropped output?

Ok, Pro is good and if you can successfully edit other jpgs then that should not be a problem - unless for some reason the file is named as a jpg but identifies internally as something else.

In the Preferences > Image tab   under "Editing" there are some tick boxes to enable or disable editing for Tiff, Jpg and png files. Are the flags for all of them set to allow editing? It is likely this is not connected in any way but nevertheless is one possible variable that is worth knowing about rather than guessing or assuming.
